WHEN CAN I CHECK-IN? WHAT TIME IS CHECK-OUT?

Check-in time is 3pm or later.

Check-out time is promptly at 11am, the day of departure.

Guests are allowed into the park at any time on the day of check-in, however the unit will not be ready until 3pm.

WHAT'S UP WITH THE WRISTBAND POLICY?

All renters must be registered prior to arrival and will be given a wrist band to confirm this at the security desk. This wristband must be worn for the duration of your stay and is included in your rental price. Once inside the resort, visitors may visit the quarry, beaches, Boston Pizza, arcade and SportsPlex at no charge. HOWEVER, should you require access to the water park, an additional wristband is required, available for purchase online or at the Welcome Centre as per 2022 resort prices listed below. Children 5 and under are free and do not require waterpark wristbands. The water park wristband is not included in your rental price.

 

  • All prices include HST

  • Daily passes are valid for any single day of the week

  • Mon-Fri passes are valid for all 5 days

  • Weekly passes are valid for any consecutive 7 days

Please note that third party owned and operated amenities (adventure course, trampolines, etc.) within the water park are an additional cost.

HOW DO I GET INTO MY RENTAL?

1 week prior to your arrival you will receive email instructions with how to enter the resort and unit, including lock box/door codes, or meeting points for check-in.

​

DOES MY RENTAL INCLUDE A GOLF CART?

Yes! Your rental includes the use of our lifted golf cart. Golf carts are not necessary when vacationing at Sherkston but are the preferred method of transport while here. With over 550 acres, a golf cart rental can be a great asset for the family. Please ensure drivers are always 18+ with a G class license as per resort rules.

CAN I HAVE A CAMPFIRE?

Yes! Your rental includes unlimited firewood, conveniently located beside the firepit. Please ensure you read the information booklet left within your rental, for rules and regulations surrounding fires. Please note, fires on beaches are strictly prohibited at all times.

CAN WE LIGHT FIREWORKS?

No. Fireworks are banned from all vacation rentals at the resort.

DO I NEED TO CLEAN THE RENTAL BEFORE DEPARTURE?

Yes! Please leave the vacation rental in the same condition in which you found it, including cleanliness. This includes all kitchen counters cleared, your food removed from the refrigerator, moved furniture returned to the original location and garbage dealt with according to the cottage guidelines.

IS A BBQ PROVIDED?

Our rental includes a propane BBQ and a supplied propane tank. Should you go through the supplied propane, you can swap out the tank with the one for the propane firebowl.

CAN I DRINK THE TAP WATER?

Yes, the tap water is safe for drinking. We provide a Brita water filter in the fridge.

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY GARBAGE?

Instructions for garbage disposal will be provided. There is no garbage pick-up and therefore drop off is required at designated drop off locations. The garbage disposal areas are the white fenced areas with signage indicating garbage and recycling.

ARE THERE BUGS OR WILDLIFE THERE?

Flying, crawling, scurrying animals and bugs are a part of cottage life! It is important to observe some rules when vacationing:

  • Don’t leave food out overnight, especially on the decks.

  • Don't leave patio doors open. Chipmunks, squirrels, ants and other critters love to visit.

  • Lights at night will attract moths and other insects, some small enough to penetrate screens.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME FOR MY STAY?

  • Bed linens

  • Towels - both bath and beach

  • Toiletries

  • Food and beverages

  • Any other item deemed necessary for an enjoyable stay.
